If you would like to progress your boating with us, why not join one of our skills courses? You'll get all the fun of paddling with a group, along with individualised feedback and coaching. At Sweet Skills we prefer not to give our courses fancy names, we believe paddlesport is too dynamic to be constrained to a single objective. We’re highly skilled in matching the individual or groups needs to the choice of river. The rivers often decide what we will paddle, and how the day will progress.

Improvers River Skills

 

OC1, Kayak or Traditional Canoe.

 

This 2 day course will cover the fundamentals of paddling on white water. Our aim will be to create solid foundations on which to build your skills. Based in Teesdale, we'll have some cracking sections of river to work on. This course is aimed at paddlers who are comfortable on grade 2 and have some experience on grade 3.

Intermediate River Skills

 

OC1, Kayak or Traditional Canoe.

 

On this course we’ll add some cool stuff to your boating as well as re-visiting the areas you would like to develop. Based in the Southern Lakes, we’ll have an amazing selection of rivers to paddle. This course will be run on grade 2/3​

Advanced River Skills

 

OC1 or Kayak.

 

On this course we will look at how to apply the fundamentals when the river becomes more dynamic and the gradient increases. Based in North Wales, we should also have the Tryweryn as an option if levels are low. This course will be run on grade 3 and 4​
